Pluto’s Lounge Premium Pet Beds separate your pet from the cold hard floor with four layers of commercial grade material.
The Pluto’s Lounge Pet Bed Cover is constructed using heavy duty UV treated thread and 1000 weight coated nylon fabric. Coated nylon can be washed many times plus it protects the foam pad from moisture, dirt, insects and claw marks.
We use extra dense two inch foam pads in all our beds (Larger sizes use three inch thick pads). Pluto’s Lounge Foam Pads have a 2.2 density rating and a five year lifespan. The foam access opening is a double fold over Velcro sealed closure similar to those used on dry bags. Two buckled web straps keep the closure in place and can also be used to roll up the bed for storage or travel. Pets can open zippers and zippers tend to snag then fail.
The Pluto’s Lounge Removable Fleece Blanket design extends the life of the bed, traps dirt, provides warmth when it is cold, ventilation when it is too warm, reduces friction between the pet and pet bed cover. The web strap fleece blanket attachment system helps maintain the blanket’s shape. The “X” shaped blanket web straps transfer tugging and clawing forces away from the blanket edges to the corner “D” rings. Creating slack in the blanket web attachment straps will allow the blanket and your dog to cuddle together. Use the corner “D” rings to secure the bed in your car or kennel.
Pluto’s Lounge Side Bolsters are closed cell foam pipe insulators that maintain their shape, maintain the shape of the bed, provide a headrest for the pet, handhold for the owner (web strap handle included) and they keep the bed afloat in the water. Bolsters reduce overall bed length and width by approximately three inches. Measure your pet in “stretch out” mode and apply these measurements to the bed’s interior measurements.
